1994 FLASHBACK
Hi everyone, hope you don't mind me being a bit indulgent at this time. hahahahahahahaha.
I just thought that once in a while it will be nice if I share a bit about my life in 1994 and some of the songs from 1994, something like me reflecting on what the hell I was doing while most of you were born lah. Please feel free to tag or leave comments in any way about what I'm doing ok.
Firstly, let me start with the top 10 songs on my O.E.I. charts for exactly this week 15 years ago. I know most of you are not going to know any of it, but its really my charts and I can't change history just to entertain you all. This was copied directly from my own blog, so maybe 1 or 2 of you are reading this for the 2nd time. hehehehehehehehe. The numbers in brackets were last week's positions and no.4 being in red means that its a local song.
19/3/94 (O.E.I.) 1. Steep - Lauren Christy (4th week at no.1) 2. The Perfect Year - Dina Carroll (5) 3. This Garden - The Levellers (2) 4. Changes - Radioactive (6) 5. You Were There - Southern Sons (7) 6. Gone Too Soon - Michael Jackson (4) 7. Choose - Color Me Badd (10) 8. Stay (Far Away, So Close) - U2 (12) 9. Babe - Take That (9) 10. Do You Have It In Your Heart - Debbie Gibson (8)
I think maybe next week I'll try to post the U.S. or the U.K. charts from 1994 because maybe you will recognise some of the songs better since they are more popular and not just my own taste.
The biggest memory I have around this time was that I just started my 4 months of holiday after finishing my 1st year in NUS already. My exams ended 2 weeks ago and now I was waiting for my results lah. I was eagerly waiting for this long break so that I can do whatever I wanted. hahahahahahaha. Term would start again only in July, so that's why its 4 months long.
I was very miserable last month just before my exams because I was suddenly down with chicken-pox ok. I was studying with my friends in the science library almost every night as usual, but one day it just suddenly dawned on me that I got the stupid disease when I started scratching and scratching and there were sores appearing all over my face and body. *sigh*. I thought my life was ruined and everyone was just so shocked not to see me for about 2 or 3 weeks. The best part of this whole episode was my exams, which I have to take in a private room instead of squeezing in the hall with everyone else. It really was a big experience and my parents must both take turns to be off from work to drive me to NUS to take my exams.
